Remember 'Friends' heroine Vijayalakshmi who acted as Vijay's sister and Suriya's love interest in the film? Despite her looks and talent, after the release of the film, the actress didn't get many film offers and moved her base to Kannada.

Recently, the actress hit the headlines seeking help from Thalaivar Rajinikanth for alleged harassment from the Kannada film industry and police. Vijayalakshmi has led a life of struggle.

In 2006, she attempted suicide after being harassed by a director. After that, her 3-year engagement with actor Srujan Lokesh was broken off. In a tragic turn of events, the actress was left penniless after spending all her hard-earned money for her mother's medical bills. It was also rumored that she was in a live-in relationship with director-turned-politician Seeman.

Talking about her association with Seeman, Vijayalakshmi revealed several photos as proof of their close relationship in an interview with Sun TV. She has about 700 materials as evidence of their living together.

"We have lived like husband and wife. He has written love letters for me and came to my house to celebrate Valentine's day and at that point, I took these photos for memories. I didn't realise I will be cheated, maybe God knew," Vijayalakshmi said.

According to the actress, Seeman cheated her by promising to marry her. She has lodged a police complaint on the director-turned-politician and it's been more than a month with no action taken against him.

Some people are indirectly threatening the actress. "I'm not scared. I won't stop until I get my justice," Vijayalakshmi said.

Earlier in 2019, Vijayalakshmi fell sick and was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in Bangalore last year. As she couldn't afford the treatment,  actor Ravi Prakash paid her bills and reportedly started harassing the actress.

According to Vijayalakshmi, she couldn't even turn to the Kannada film fraternity or the police, since they identify as Tamil. That's when she reached out to Thalaivar and he promised to help.

We hope justice will be served if what Vijayalakshmi says is the truth.
