Anirudh Ravichander is a young and talented music composer who've worked in many recent releases including Rajinikanth's Petta and upcoming movie Darbar.

While Anirudh was accused of plagiarising songs previously, now the music director is involved in another controversy involving the Cine Musicians’ Union.

Cine Musicians’ Union's president Dhina has recently held a press meet informing that his union member Anirudh has promised to give local musicians opportunities to work on Darbar, but opted to hire foreigners instead.

"Previously when Illayaraja or AR Rahman worked on Rajini movies, at least 500 local musicians will be getting opportunity. But Anirudh only hired 4 union members and hired foreigners instead. How will the local musicians survive?," questioned Dhina.

He further added that no matter small or big-budget movies, the local musicians just need opportunities to survive and sustain in the industry.

"We contacted Anirudh earlier and he promised to hire our Union member for Drabar, but we just got the news that he completed the re-recording several days ago," he added.
