Here-s-Why-You-Should-Start-Eating-Garlic

Popular for warding off vampires – well, at least in pop culture - garlic is known for its extremely nutritious properties.

Despite its taste, this close cousin to the onion is well known among the elderly and those who practice organic medicines.

The garlic can be best ingested directly or mixed in food or drinks. In fact, sometimes turning it into paste and applying on certain body parts help with relieving pain and skin problems.

So, here's why it's good to include garlic in your diet.

Wards Off Cold And Flu

If you're down with cold and flu, simply eat two to three cloves of garlic raw or mix it in a glass of warm tea. If you hate the taste, feel free to mix a little honey. The best part is, while it helps to get rid of that stuffy nose, the properties within the garlic will assist in building immunity against the dreaded cold.

Helps With Acne Problems

If you're someone who's been having issues with zits, then ingesting two cloves of raw garlic every morning with warm water will do the trick in warding off the acne. Plus, garlic also cleanses the system and removes bodily toxins, purifying the blood at the same time.

Lowers Cholesterol

Eating garlic everyday helps in reducing the cholesterol level, thanks to the garlic's anti-oxidant qualities. The plant also helps in balancing blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

Good For The Skin

The garlic helps in taking care of your skin by assisting the preservation of collagen. If you were to apply the garlic paste onto areas where there's a fungal infection, the treatment can work wonders. It's highly recommended for people with eczema. What's more, garlic also prevents hair loss. All you have to do is crush the garlic into a paste and massage it onto your scalp.

Prevents Cavities

You must be wondering if we're joking. No, we're not. Garlic does have properties which can be used to treat bacterial infections. Because of this, eating small amounts of it on a daily basis helps with removing bacteria which cause cavities.

While it is tiny and appears insignificant, don't underestimate the garlic.
