Many Hindus have a common misconception that Nyana Kadavul (Lord of Wisdom) Dhakshinamoorthy is Guru Bhagawan (Planet Guru) and visit the Lord's temple to receive His blessings for Guru Peyarchi every year.

That's not right! Guru Peyarchi happens when one of the nine planets (Navagraha), Guru Bhagawan transits from one zodiac sign to another. Lord Dhakshinamoorthy is one of the manifestations of Lord Shiva in the form of a teacher (Guru), which explains the misconception.

This year, Guru moves from Viruchigam Raasi to Thanusu Raasi and His change in position will affect all the zodiac signs differently. Which is why people are curious to find out about their horoscope readings during this period to learn how their life is about to change.

If you are wondering how 2019 - 2020 is going to be for your zodiac sign, check out our Guru Peyarchi Rasipalan video featuring Kalakka Povathu Yaaru Aranthangi Nisha who read the horoscopes in her own comic style:

So, now that you are done watching the video, what's next? Usually, Hindus seek the blessings of Guru Bhagawan after the transit in order to lessen the hurdles they will be facing during the one-year period or until the next Guru Peyarchi.
