Heart Attack Symptoms That Are Different In Women

  • 06 Oct 2019

Traditionally, heart attack is when you feel a pain that is described like an elephant sitting in the chest cavity, along with shortness of breath, fatigue and pain in the left arm.

Although this is the most recognized predictor of heart attack, symptoms in women can be more subtle.

Upon research, Astro Ulagam found Heart Attack Symptoms that are different in women.

1) Extreme fatigue

This tiredness can creep up days or weeks before the actual attack.

2) Sleep disturbance

If you aren't sleeping well at night, this could be a forewarning.

3) Back, neck or jaw pain

Instead of an obvious chest pain, you may experience a gradual or sudden pain in the jaw, neck, or lower or upper back. It may wax and wane before becoming intense that it can wake you up if you're sleeping.

4) Indigestion

Heart failure can cause abdominal swelling, which can show up as indigestion, nausea, lack of appetite and vomiting.

5) Flu-like symptoms

Coughing, sweating and lightheadedness are more than just signs of the flu itself.

6) Anxiety

Anxiety may be trying to tell something if you notice unusual bouts of stress.
