Astro's Brinthavanathil Kannan Bags Asian Academy Creative Award!

  • 18 Oct 2019

The regional winners for the Asian Academy Creative 2019 Award were announced at the MIPCOM 2019 recently and congrats to Astro's Indian Production team which bagged two prestigious awards and will be representing our nation at the Grand Awards and Gala Final on 5th and 6th December at Singapore.

The team won the 'Best Actor in a leading role' award for its telemovie 'Brinthavanathil Kannan' starring Lingkesvaran Maniam, as well as 'Best Music or Dance Programme' award for 'Superstar 2018' - Malaysia's popular singing competition.

"After deciding on the storyline, our team felt Linkeswaran's charming personality fits the leading role perfectly. Since he was already involved in hosting a few of Astro's shows, we knew his potential as an actor," says Brindhavanathil Kannan Executive Producer Gandimathi Supiah.

The telemovie was the brainchild of Astro's production team who wanted to present their viewers a heart touching programme during Deepavali - a beautiful love story with a  blend of fun, laughter, and of course, chaos!

Catch Brinthavanathil Kannan on 26th Oct 6.30PM only on Astro Vaanavil CH201 this Deepavali starring Linges, Venessha, KS Maniam, David, Kalaiselvi, Rajam, and Suriyan Magesan.

Congratulations team!
