Astro Ulagam's Thaipusam 2020 LIVE is going to be bigger and better this year! Stay tuned with us from 5pm, 7th February to 10pm, 8th February 2020 (Msian Time) to get LIVE updates from Murugan temples across Malaysia.

Every year, Thaipusam celebrations in Malaysia are witnessed by thousands of Tamil audience around the world through Astro Ulagam's LIVE streaming on its official website.

For Thaipusam 2020, Astro Ulagam will be streaming LIVE from multiple locations around Malaysia and provide coverage for famous Murugan temples around the globe.

Starting 7th February, 5pm onwards, the LIVE streaming will be carried out until 8th February, 10pm (Malaysian Time) at

For the LIVE streaming, Astro Ulagam is sending NINE (9) hosts to THREE (3) locations in Malaysia: Raaga Revathy, Hema Ji and Theyvekgan (Ipoh), Bhuvana, Krithigah and Inthumathi (Penang) and SathiaVani, Aruna Raj and Ratna Gowri (Sungai Petani).

The hosts will give LIVE updates like the weather, prayer timings, road closure and many other details from Malaysia's iconic Murugan temples including Kallumalai Arulmigu Subramaniyar Temple (Ipoh), Thaneermalai Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Temple (Penang) and Sri Subramaniya Swami Temple (Sungai Petani).

Thaipusam celebrations are usually special and grand at these abodes and devotees gather in big crowds to get a glimpse of Lord Murugan at each of the temples.

Netizens can share their Thaipusam moments and clicks with the hashtag '#VelVel' to be featured in the LIVE streaming.

In the previous years, Astro Ulagam's Thaipusam LIVE streaming have garnered multiple awards and accolades, including the prestigious Guinness World Records for the 'Longest Live Streamed Festival', Asia Book of Records for the 'Highest Reach on Facebook for Live Streaming of Festival' and Malaysia Book of Records for the ‘Highest Reach on Facebook for Live Streaming of Tamil Programme'.

The list doesn't end there. In 2016, Astro Ulagam received two Golden Globe Tigers Award for the 'Best Digital and Social Media Marketing Campaign' and 'Marketing Campaign of the Year' for Thaipusam.
