Check Out Cooking Sensation S Pavithra's Latest Avatar As a Model!

  • 23 Jun 2020

Looks like S Pavithra, of the "SuguPavithra" Youtube cooking duo, is not only talented in cooking, but in modelling as well.

Netizens are lauding the 28-year-old for looking so "natural" after snaps from her covershoot for lifestyle portal Pepatung went viral recently.

In the photoshoot, taken at her hometown in Sungai Siput, Perak, the housewife can be seen clad in gowns from famed designers such as Bernard Chandran, Rizman Ruzaini and Wanpa. Her makeup was done by Razzi Musa.

Pepatung reportedly chose Pavithra to be highlighted on its cover as she, and her husband M Sugu, are seen as the "symbol of Malaysian unity".

According to the portal, it took about two weeks, from the point of approaching the couple to do the photoshoot, to the actual assignment.

The couple rode to fame after their low-key videos of cooking Malaysian dishes, with narration in Bahasa Melayu, went viral, especially during the Movement Control Order (MCO), which began last March.

The SuguPavithra channel, which was started last January, has so far garnered 721,000 subscribers.

The couple's fluent command of the Malay language and grounded style of guiding viewers step by step in cooking garnered so much attention, that even Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin took notice and gifted them with a cookware set, and a tripod.

With the views, the couple also started receiving cheques from Google, and Sugu quit his full-time job as an estate worker, to concentrate on making Youtube videos. They have also since moved into a new house.
