Congrats To Matron Devi For Leading The Country's Nursing Profession!

  • 20 Jul 2020

"Nurses are the hospitality of the hospital," goes an anonymous quote on the internet.

Thing rings true, as nurses are often there to extend a helping hand to needy patients, no matter what rough day they have had, and how many tough hours they have put in on the job for the day.

Therefore, it is laudable for an Indian woman to be made in charge of the nursing profession in the country.

Meet Matron Devi Saravana Muthu, who have been just made the director of the Health Ministry's (KKM) Nursing division.

Health director-general Noor Hisham Abdullah made the announcement on his official Facebook page recently.

"Congratulations and well done to Matron Devi Saravana Muthu who has been appointed the new director of the KKM's Nursing division, beginning July 6, 2020.

"She replaces Matron Tumble binti Ngadiran @ Tomblow who retired on June 22. Prior to this, Matron Devi was the deputy director of the nursing division," he said.

"All the best in carrying out your duty. May the excellence of the nursing profession be continued," Noor Hisham added.

Congratulations to Matron Devi indeed!

May the country's nursing profession reach greater heights under her leadership!
